Audit & Loan Review Officers support the Association’s internal review function by completing credit, financial, collateral evaluation, and operational audits and reviews. The audits and reviews provide an independent, objective, and proactive means for monitoring adherence to association/bank policies, procedures and philosophies, and FCA and other federal regulations. Identifies performance strengths and weaknesses, monitors compliance and adequacy of internal controls, and provides timely reports to management and the Board. Evaluates compliance with policy, procedures, laws, regulations, and sound business practices.
Responsibilities Include:
Completes assigned internal loan reviews and audits and provides timely, accurate and reliable analysis of association performance
Assesses credit quality, assigns risk ratings and ensures association’s credit and audit related statistics are accurately reported.
Analyzes and determines adequacy of credit administration including but not limited to development, documentation, analysis, decision, collateral, closing/other legal matters, servicing/controls, and proficiency with distressed credit.
Documents and reports review findings by providing timely, thorough, and accurate reports to management and audit committee
Evaluates compliance with policy, procedures, laws, regulations, and sound business practices
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in a credit, review or audit position
Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree and/or certification in auditing highly encouraged.
Strong analysis, judgment, and communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to travel 10-15% of time (maybe more during initial training).
